A Foreword

I decided to memorialize my top 100 videogames circa August 2020, since I feel like there is value in remembering good things. Here's the ground rules.

The list's exact criteria are vague. It's mostly about what had the biggest positive impact for me, I guess? The ones I'd like to remember, or encounter anew if I didn't remember them.
To avoid flooding the list with similar entries, the ones I consider similar experiences or games that should be experienced together to really have their impact are listed under one base entry.
Writeups aren't meant to be comprehensive catalogues of merits. It's just things I want to say.
I'll be adding roughly an entry a day.
I hope to come back annually and post addendums featuring games that would have made the list. The list itself will not change after first writing, as retroactively devaluing something just seems counter to what this is about.
